Battle Creek-based Kellogg Co. has launched a new breakfast collection that includes cereals, granolas, and mueslis, called Kellogg’s Origins, in a bid to introduce more wholesome foods to consumers.

Kellogg partnered with chef and blogger Gaby Dalkin, of What’s Gaby Cooking, to develop the recipes. “(Kellogg’s Origins) is a reminder that the greatest tastes and trends can come from the simplest places,” Dalkin says.

The products, which retail for about $4.50, emphasize flavors such as cranberry, coconut, and apricot. Grains such as quinoa and Kamut khorasan wheat are used in the cereal and granola products. The muesli mixes raw whole grains, fruits, and nuts, and can be served cold or hot.

Options include fruit and nut blend cereal; grains blend cereal; raisin apple granola; cranberry almond granola with pumpkin seeds; apricot cashew coconut muesli with almonds; and raisin apricot cranberry muesli with pumpkin seeds.

Kellogg Co. owns brands such as Special K, Pringles, Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies, Eggo, and Mini-Wheats, among others. The company reported sales of nearly $15 billion in 2014, and offers more than 1,600 food products.
