New Subscription Service Celebrates Different Gentleman Each Month

Farmington Hills-based Gentleman’s Box is set to launch its first monthly subscription service for men that delivers grooming products, accessories, and the latest issue of GQ magazine to their door.

“Each month’s box is uniquely themed toward a gentleman that we honor,” says John Haji, who co-founded the business with Chris George. “It could be a celebrity, an athlete, a local figure, and so forth.”

Haji says of the four to five items included in each box, there will be at least one grooming essential as well as three to four changeable items that revolve around fashion and style, such as ties or socks. One to two of the included products will be iconic to that month’s honored gentleman.

“We’ve found that that there’s kind of a hidden market out there for the modern gentleman who either doesn’t have the time or isn’t willing to go into stores and shop for himself,” Haji says. “This gives men the opportunity to get this stuff right at their door. It brings awareness for the kind of high-end products that gives the look and feel of that perfect gentleman, and makes (those products) more accessible.”

Haji says all subscribers will receive the same products each month, with no repeats of the same products in future boxes.

The average box will range in value from $60 to $80, Haji says. Personal subscriptions are available either for $25 per month or $275 per year, whereas gift subscriptions are available in three-, six-, and 12-month packages.

The first box will be limited to 1,000 subscribers, although the company will adjust the maximum based on interest once the service is under way. The first boxes will start shipping in mid-November. For more information, visit gentlemansbox.com.
