The Somerset Collection in Troy is adding Michigan’s first Ivviva store, a youth sportswear brand owned by parent company, Lululemon Athletica Inc. The new store is expected to open in the spring.

“Based upon the success of Lululemon, this brand trusted our market to expand their presence at the Somerset Collection, and we strongly trust that Ivivva will be very well received by our patrons,” says David Forbes, partner of Southfield-based Forbes Co., which owns and operates the Somerset Collection.

Created for girls ages 6-12, Ivivva’s products include apparel for dance, running, yoga, ice skating, gymnastics, and on-the-court sports. Pricing ranges from $28 for gym shorts to $108 for a water-resistant jacket.

The 2,000-square-foot store will work with a committee of athletic women to consult on décor and music. The brand will also invite direct feedback from customers on products and design line.

“We know our technical fabrics and sport-focused designs will support Michigan girls,” says Kellie Davidson, brand manager for Ivivva, first launched in 2009. “We are working with athletic girls to create a shopping experience that meets their needs.”

The new store will be located on the second floor of Somerset South, across from the Lululemon store.
