Emagine Entertainment, which operates seven theaters throughout southeast Michigan, will unveil a new nine-screen, luxury cinema in Macomb Township on Dec. 19. The new facility will offer a distinctive amenity — an expansive list of food options designed by the chef from Plymouth’s Ironwood Grill.

“This theatre is going to reinvent the movie-going experience for guests,” says Paul Glantz, co-founder and chairman of Emagine Entertainment. “People will be treated to an evening of great food, great drinks, and great movies in an incredibly comfortable and intimate environment.”

Like the company’s other properties, Emagine Macomb will offer beer, wine, and cocktails for adult patrons. But unlike the other locations, the Macomb theater will also incorporate fresh, made-to-order food prepared by Ironwood Grill.

The extensive menu will include a host of appetizers, entrees, and handcrafted pizzas, Glantz says. Patrons will also have access to an on-site frozen dessert bar as well as a selection of gourmet popcorn flavors and ingredients.

Each stadium-style auditorium is outfitted with power recliners, floor-to-ceiling digital screens, and surround sound.

“From the moment you enter the venue, you will see and feel the difference,” Glantz says. “We are confident that we are building the movie theatre of the future where guests can reconnect with movies in an environment that is as comfortable as their own living room, but with one major improvement: We’ll clean up after them.”

The complex, at 15251 23 Mile Road, is located at the site of a former Kroger, and is expected to create more than 50 new jobs.

Emagine’s other cinema complexes are located in Royal Oak, Rochester Hills, Novi, Birch Run, Clio, Canton Township, and Woodhaven.
