AutoBeat Group, a Bloomfield Hills-based online publisher, announced this week the launch of AdvancedMobilityProject.com. The website covers global developments in new mobility, or transportation systems that are more efficient and sustainable than traditional methods.

“Global trends ranging from growing urbanization to concerns about air pollution energy supplies and natural resources are driving the search for faster ways to move us from point A to point B,” says Bill Hampton, publisher of AutoBeat Group. “Our mission is to track what may be the biggest revolution in transit since the invention of the automobile.”

Content on the website includes videos discussing topics such as rules and standards for connected cars; reports about urbanization and energy supply and demand; and feature articles regarding trends that are shaping the global automotive industry.

Hampton says the website — which will monitor things like connectivity, transportation policy, and vehicle-sharing services — will also report on the challenges of new mobility.

“There are no easy answers or a single solution,” Hampton adds. “But there’s no question that big changes are coming, and quickly, that will make the way we travel more convenient, relaxing, and productive than ever before.”

The Advanced Mobility Project also announced it will host a conference dedicated to the development of energy technology on Feb. 21 at NextEnergy in Detroit. The conference will be filmed and condensed into a one-hour program that will air on Detroit Public Television in the spring.
