RGIS Names John Ling CEO

AUBURN HILLS — RGIS LLC, a global leader in supply chain, inventory insights, merchandising and optimization solutions today announced that John Ling will succeed Bruce Barkus as chief executive officer of RGIS.  Ling, formerly the company’s chief operating officer, joined RGIS in January. Prior to joining RGIS, Ling was EVP of Global Operations and Supply Chain at Crate and Barrel. Ling received an MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University and a BS in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and has 25 years of experience in retail and supply chain management.

To assure a smooth transition, Barkus will stay on as an advisor to Ling focusing on the international segment and the Company’s technological innovations until year-end.   

Barkus said, “Last winter, our sponsors and I began a process to identify a new CEO for RGIS and we are confident that John is the right person to succeed me and to lead us to the next level of performance.  When I nominated John to become our new CEO, I did so knowing he is ready, he is committed and the RGIS team is here to support him. Leading RGIS as its CEO has been a tremendously exciting and gratifying experience and I am confident that John will enjoy the same rewards of leading such a great team.”
