DETROIT — SI Detroit was created by software and Internet entrepreneurs who recognized that Detroit’s growing information technology community needed a forum that would foster information sharing, networking, and support.  Each quarter, SI Detroit will convene Metro Detroit’s software and Internet entrepreneurs.  SI Detroit events will serve as the premier source of information and resources to help entrepreneurs grow and expand their software and Internet businesses.

The date for the next SI Detroit event is Monday, June 18, 2012, at the M@dison Building, 1555 Broadway Street, Detroit, Michigan 48226, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Bizdom and Detroit Venture Partners will be the host organizations.

This will be a great opportunity to network with the software and Internet companies in the M@dison Building. At 5 p.m., they will begin the evening with food and networking while enjoying the amazing views from the M@dison Building’s rooftop terrace. At 6 p.m., guests will learn from a panel of M@dison Building entrepreneurs in the high-tech 5th Floor auditorium.

Another outstanding panel is planned for the June 18th event, featuring Greg Myrick of Twitter (twitter.com) and four entrepreneurs whose companies are in the M@dison Building:

  • Patrick McCabe – Green Lancer (greenlancer.com)
  • Stacy Goldberg – SavorFull.com (savorfull.com)
  • Henry Balanon – Detroit Labs (detroitlabs.com)
  • Greg Schwartz – UpTo (upto.com)

Moderator: R.J. Kng, Editor of DBusiness Magazine.

The host for the evening will be Emily Doerr, manager of Small Business Programs at the Detroit Regional Chamber.
