Plymouth’s Varroc Lighting Systems Names Senior Vice President

Plymouth-based global automotive lighting supplier Varroc Lighting Systems announced the appointment of Sylvain Puginier as senior vice president of global purchasing; material, planning, and logistics; and supplier performance. He will also oversee the company’s recently announced electronics joint venture.

Puginier will be based out of the company’s Vélizy location in France and report directly to Varroc Lighting Systems president and CEO, Stephanie Vedie.

“Sylvain’s 15 years of automotive lighting and electronics experience is a great addition to our executive team,” says Vedie. “We will benefit from his skills and expertise in these industries as we continue to grow our global electronics systems capabilities.”

Puginier most recently served as purchasing director for the Valeo Lighting Systems product group, where he engaged in supplier development and operational efficiency improvement initiatives. A majority of his career has been spent in purchasing roles with Valeo.

Puginier earned a licentiate degree in industrial purchasing from Toulouse University in France, along with advanced degrees in purchasing management and marketing, advertising, and communications. He also completed an executive Master of Business Administration degree from Sorbonne University in Paris.
