Local Golfer Selected For World Golf Hall of Fame

Michigan Golf Hall of Fame member Meg Mallon has been selected for the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Mallon was inducted in 2002 as one of 113 members of the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame and is the fourth member of the Michigan Hall to also be named to the World Golf Hall. In 1983, she became the winner of the Michigan Women’s Amateur Championship and went on to win four major championships, two U.S. Open titles, 18 career Ladies Professional Golf Association wins, and was part of eight Solheim Cup teams.

She is now retired and plays in senior events.​​

Mallon, of Empire, earned All-Conference honors from Ohio State University.
