State Mental Health Association Names New CEO

Robert Sheehan has been appointed CEO to lead the Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards.

Previously, Sheehan served for nearly 20 years as CEO of the Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties. He was responsible for the overall administration of the comprehensive public mental health center, serving the tri-county region surrounding Lansing. As CEO, Sheehan oversaw an annual budget of over $115 million and a staff exceeding 1,000, serving 11,000 consumers annually.

Notably, Sheehan, along with 12 organizations, formed a 21 county Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan. Sheehan, of Lansing, led the organization in becoming a Substance Use Disorder Coordinating Agency for the eight county region.
