MotorCity Casino Hotel has named Andrew Alcid as its new chef de cuisine at its fine dining restaurant, Iridescence.
Alcid, a graduate of the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago and native of Flint will be responsible for creating new recipes, managing future menu development, and contributing to the award-winning Iridescence dining experience.
Alcid brings to the position 10 years of expertise having worked in many of Chicago’s premier dining establishments. He also served as chef de cuisine at the Townsend Hotel’s Rugby Grille in Birmingham. Prior to returning to Michigan, he spent several years in the kitchens of various high-profile eateries throughout Chicago, including Hubbard Inn, La Tache, Hopeleaf, and Park Grill.
