McLaren Oakland Foundation Names New Executive Director

Jennifer Thamer has joined the McLaren Oakland Foundation as executive director.

Thamer will work closely with the foundation’s board of trustees to lead the fund development programs, which include special events, major gifts programs, foundation grants, capital campaigns and endowments.

Thamer, of Waterford, previously worked as director of development for Canterbury-on-the-Lake, a continuing care, senior living community. She also held marketing and sales administrative positions at Insurance Resources Inc. and Mann+Hummel Automotive. She is active in the Waterford and Clarkston chambers, as well as Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County Women Build.

Thamer earned her Bachelor of Science in business marketing from the University of Phoenix.
