BIRMINGHAM —The Townsend Hotel, a AAA 4-Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star luxury property known for its exceptional service and amenities, today announced that its Chief Concierge, Lynette Zebrowski, has been awarded membership in the exclusive Les Clefs d’Or USA, the only national association of professional hotel concierges.

Zebrowski, of Hamtramck, is the nationwide organization’s only member from Michigan.

Les Clefs d’Or USA (pronounced “lay clay door”) translates from French as, “keys of gold,” and members can be recognized by the crossed gold keys worn on their lapels, an international symbol of the organization and of service excellence. Members of Les Clefs d’Or USA represent more than 300,000 hotel rooms at more than 300 primarily four- and five-star properties, with guests benefiting from the organization’s vast network of colleagues worldwide to assist in fulfilling requests.

To obtain membership in the prestigious organization, Zebrowski completed an application process, which among other things, required two sponsorship documents from full members of Les Clefs d’Or.

Zebrowski joined The Townsend Hotel team in 2006, and has held the title of chief concierge since 2010. She serves as the property’s point person for celebrities, dignitaries and other VIP guests requiring additional security and special considerations in advance of and during their stay. She also supervises the concierge and bell staffs, and leads vendor relations on behalf of hotel guests.

Prior to joining The Townsend team, Zebrowski, a graduate of Michigan State University, served as front desk agent at The Omni Riverfront Hotel in Detroit.
