KPMG Detroit Names New Partners, Directors

DETROIT — The KPMG LLP Detroit office has named Lenny LaRocca, Mike Lueck, Kortney Wallace, and Megan Wietfeld as new partners and promoted John Denworth and Jennifer Patrona as managing directors.

LaRocca, top left, has advised numerous companies on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures in the industrial manufacturing sector, with a focus on automotive. He has more than 15 years of business experience in the areas of industrial manufacturing and automotive transaction. In addition, he has led numerous global complex transaction-related engagements supporting both strategic and financial buyers on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. LaRocca is a graduate of Western Michigan University and Leadership Detroit.

Lueck, top right, joined KPMG from a senior attorney position at the IRS chief counsel’s office, where he held national roles for income tax accounting for inventories. Upon joining KPMG, he led the Tax Controversy Services practice in the Mid-America business unit and then transferred to Washington to lead the firm’s inventory practice. Lueck is a graduate of Siena Heights University, the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and Leadership Detroit.

Wallace, middle left, leads the international tax team in the Mid-America region, which includes Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. With more than 15 years of experience, she advises multi-national corporations on international mergers and acquisitions, taxable and tax-free group restructuring of foreign subsidiaries, repatriation and debt servicing, foreign tax credit utilization planning and cross-border financing. Wallace is a graduate of the University of Michigan, The Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and Georgetown University. She is a member of Leadership Detroit.  

With more than 17 years of experience in public accounting and advisory services, Wietfeld, middle right, has served domestic and multinational clients in various industries, including chemicals, professional services, technology, manufacturing, real estate and financial services. She has experience providing audit services to clients in accordance with U.S. auditing and international standards. Wietfeld is a graduate of Central Michigan University.

Denworth, bottom left, has nearly 15 years of experience in expatriate tax, and payroll and program management gained while working in five KPMG offices: Southern California, Northern Virginia, Short Hills, New York City and now Detroit. He has experience serving multiple industries, including automotive, engineering, software and business services, retail and aerospace. Denworth is a graduate of Fordham University.

Patrona , bottom right, has 20 years of experience serving large multinational clients in Michigan and Northern Ohio on global compensation accumulation, global payrolls and expatriate tax compliance as well as policy, risk and cost mitigation, along with other areas of international human resources. In addition, she consults with clients on divestures and mergers, policy and process development, and payroll and compensation. Patrona is a graduate of Michigan State University.
