Honigman Attorney Named Co-Chair of U.S. Law Conference

DETROIT — Lawrence D. McLaughlin, chair of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn’s real estate department, was named co-chair of the International Council of Shopping Centers 2015 U.S. Law Conference.

The ICSC is the shopping center industry’s premier global trade association and the U.S. Law Conference is the legal gathering for the industry.

McLaughlin represents developers of commercial, industrial and residential real estate locally, nationally and internationally. He advises clients regarding acquisitions, land use, entitlements, development incentives, entity formation, joint ventures, financing, construction, leasing, taxation, sales, workouts, and restructuring.

He earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the General Motors Institute.
