Dickinson Wright Adds New Lawyer to Ann Arbor Office

 ANN ARBOR — Dickinson Wright PLLC has added lawyer Paul R. Fransway to the firm’s Ann Arbor office. He will serve as co-leader of the firm’s Franchise and Distribution Practice Group.

Fransway serves as primary franchise counsel for a number of national franchisors, and he helps them comply with disclosure and registration requirements under the Federal Trade Commission and various state laws. He is also an expert in all aspects of franchise contract enforcement, including covenants not to compete, trademark infringement, and post-termination remedies, both in court and in arbitration.

Fransway is a member of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Franchising and the National Association of College and University Attorneys. He also acts as special counsel and as a director or trustee for a number of community organizations including various primary schools, post-secondary educational institutions and national nonprofit educational organizations.

He received his Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University, his J.D. and his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Houston Law Center.
