SOUTHFIELD — Want to help build the Detroit Red Wings’ next arena? Or maybe you’d rather work on a greener car, or the latest in voice recognition technology, or the mobile entertainment of the future. These jobs and hundreds of others will be up for grabs at The Engineering Society of Detroit Fall Job Fair, being held from 2 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. Nearly 50 companies are offering more than 2,000 jobs at the event.

Detroit-based NTH Consultants, a regionally recognized engineering firm specializing in geotechnical, environmental and facilities engineering, is looking for civil engineers and environmental professionals who embrace a culture committed to client satisfaction, teamwork, professionalism and continuous learning.

The Troy-based recruiting and staffing firm Brightwing is looking for electrical, mechanical and software engineers, along with manufacturing quality managers, embedded software engineers, and active safety experts in airbag systems. They’re also recruiting voice recognition engineers and telematics engineers.  Most of the jobs require a bachelor’s degree in a related field and three to four years of experience.

The job fair will also feature thousands of other great gigs for engineers, scientists, and people in related technical fields, from IT to the increasingly high-tech, energy-efficient building trades.
