Habitat for Humanity of Oakland Names New Director

PONTIAC — Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County has promoted Joyce Russell, to director of Development and Partnerships.

Russell worked as manager of donor relations at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, in development for several organizations, including Hospice of Michigan, the Visiting Nurse Association Inc., and Lighthouse of Oakland County. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Wayne State University, Walsh College, and Macomb Community College. Russell holds a master’s degree in administration/marketing from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in merchandising from Wayne State.

Habitat for Humanity is a grassroots organization dedicated to the elimination of poverty and substandard housing. Habitat accepts donated homes or lots, and builds or renovates in partnership with qualifying families, who pay a no-profit mortgage held by Habitat.
