'Macho Men' Movie Opening

More than 200 people attended the Detroit debut of Macho Men and The Women That Love Them , a Latino musical comedy, on July 26 at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. TechTown at Wayne State University is helping to fund a film version of the live show.

Professional's Night Out 2015

A networking event was held in the newly-renovated Shed 5 at Detroit's Eastern Market on June 26. The event included cocktails, a five-course dinner prepared by Chef Jeremy Kalmus, desserts, and dancing. Attendees learned how to pitch their business and brand their company through social media.

3rd Annual Read to a Child Detroit Fundraiser

Read to a Child, a national literacy organization with an office and operations in Detroit, held its annual fundraiser on March 12 at the Detroit Opera House. The event, which drew more than 100 people, honored the reading mentor of the year, Sheree Dorsey, portfolio manager of Fifth Third Bank in Southfield.
