GM Supplier of the Year Award Presentation

On Aug. 3, General Motors Co. presented Ideal Group, a manufacturing and contracting firm in southwest Detroit, with the GM Supplier of the Year award. The event, which drew 300 people, included tours of Cadillac Urban Gardens, where fruit and vegetables grown inside shipping containers are harvested and donated to the surrounding community.

Hob Nobble Gobble 2014

The Parade Co. in Detroit held its annual Hob Nobble Gobble at Ford Field on Nov. 21, as a prelude to America's Thanksgiving Parade. More than 2,200 guests enjoyed a strolling dinner, carnival rides, dancing, games, and performances by Fifty Amp Fuse, MKTO, and Vanilla Ice.

31st Annual Heritage Hall of Fame Celebration

The International Institute Foundation held its 31st annual Heritage Hall of Fame Celebration on Nov. 6 at the Colony Club in downtown Detroit. The event, which drew more than 250 people, honored six exceptional leaders from various ethnic backgrounds who have made outstanding contributions to the American way of life.
