The Team Angels Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness in both men and women, hosted a benefit dinner and strolling fashion show on Oct. 16 at Penna's of Sterling in Sterling Heights.

10th Annual Women in Defense Golf Outing

The Women in Defense Michigan Chapter hosted its 10th annual Golf Outing on Friday, July 13 at Cherry Creek Golf Club in Shelby Township. Participants enjoyed a day of golf, a continental breakfast, a barbecue, heavy hors d’oeuvres, beverages, awards, a raffle, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefitted the Horizons-Michigan Scholarship, which encourages women to pursue careers related to national security and defense.

Vincenzo Ilotte, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Torino, shared his chamber’s vision for the future and introduced the Vehicle and Transportation Technology Meetings, to be held in Torino, Italy.

Unidos Ganamos 2018 in Southwest Detroit

On June 18, more than 100 people attended Unidos Ganamos at La Noria Bistro in southwest Detroit. The event, which included a cocktail reception, a strolling dinner, and networking, celebrated Hispanic leadership throughout the region.

German American Chambers of Commerce June Networking Event

The Michigan Chapter of the German American Chambers of Commerce of Midwest Inc. held its June networking event on June 14 at Atwater in the Park in Grosse Pointe Park. Rod Alberts, executive director of the Detroit Auto Dealers Association and the North American International Auto Show, was the guest speaker for the evening.

Southwest Detroit Business Association Community Investment Breakfast

The Southwest Detroit Business Association hosted its annual Community Investment Breakfast on June 21 at the MotorCity Casino Hotel Sound Board. The event’s keynote speaker was Dave Dubenksy, chairman and CEO of Ford Land. Individuals and organizations were honored for contributing to the economic vitality of the region.
