Metropolis of Detroit Spring Luncheon

The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Detroit Philoptochos Society welcomed Betty Cantrell, Miss America 2016, to celebrate her Hellenic heritage and share her journey at a luncheon on Saturday, April 29 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Troy. The event promoted the charitable, philanthropic, and educational efforts of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

DBusiness Breakfast Series July 2017

Mark Wallace, president and CEO of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, was the featured speaker at the DBusiness Breakfast Series on July 18 at the Gem Theatre in downtown Detroit. During his address, Wallace provided an update on plans to redevelop the West Riverfront from Joe Louis Arena to the Ambassador Bridge.

The Great Race 2017

More than 500 people attended a meet and greet for classic car enthusiasts at the Stahl Car Museum in Chesterfield Township on Friday, June 30. The event was part of The Great Race, a competitive, control-speed road rally for classic, vintage, and antique cars, which began in Jacksonville, Fla. and concluded in Traverse City.

Under the North Star Gala

More than 300 people attended the fourth annual Under the North Star Gala on Saturday, June 10 at North Star Reach in Pinckney, where children with health challenges can attend summer camp. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, dinner, live music, and an afterglow.
