Entrepreneurs’ Organization Summer Social and Program Graduation 2018

The Entrepreneurs’ Organization Detroit hosted its Summer Social and EO Detroit Master’s Program graduation on May 31 at a rooftop party at the Detroit Athletic Club. Members and their guests enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and a light dinner. The organization thanked 2017-2018 president Matt Wolf and welcomed 2018-2019 president Kristen Tassielli.

The event’s keynote speaker was Dave Dubenksy, chairman and CEO of Ford Land. Individuals and organizations were honored for contributing to the economic vitality of the region.

Detroit Bar Association Annual Meeting 2018

The Detroit Bar Association welcomed its slate of 2018-19 officers on June 20 at the Detroit Club during its annual meeting. The new officers include President, Brian Summerfield of Kostopoulos Rodriguez; President-Elect, Joanne Geha Swanson of Kerr Russell; and Secretary/Treasurer, Daniel Shirey of Kitch Drutchas Wagner Valitutti & Sherbrook.

Shimmer on the River 2018

This year’s Shimmer on the River, which centered around the theme “Here Comes the Sun,” took place on June 21 at the Detroit RiverFront. More than 200 guests enjoyed entertainment from BeatleMania Live!, retro-inspired drinks and fare from Detroit establishments, photo opportunities, and free, unlimited carnival games and rides. The fundraiser, in its eighth year, honored Matthew and Karen Cullen’s commitment to the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy.
