Death is Not the Answer at the DAC

Wixom-based Visionalist Entertainment Productions held a private event for its new film Death is Not the Answer on Aug. 16 at the Detroit Athletic Club. The film, set to air this November throughout Michigan, covers depression and suicide in America.

Rod Alberts, executive director of the Detroit Auto Dealers Association and the North American International Auto Show, was the guest speaker for the evening.

Southwest Detroit Business Association Community Investment Breakfast

The Southwest Detroit Business Association hosted its annual Community Investment Breakfast on June 21 at the MotorCity Casino Hotel Sound Board. The event’s keynote speaker was Dave Dubenksy, chairman and CEO of Ford Land. Individuals and organizations were honored for contributing to the economic vitality of the region.

Detroit Bar Association Annual Meeting 2018

The Detroit Bar Association welcomed its slate of 2018-19 officers on June 20 at the Detroit Club during its annual meeting. The new officers include President, Brian Summerfield of Kostopoulos Rodriguez; President-Elect, Joanne Geha Swanson of Kerr Russell; and Secretary/Treasurer, Daniel Shirey of Kitch Drutchas Wagner Valitutti & Sherbrook.
