DCBA Dinner and Delegation

The Detroit Chinese Business Association, Oakland County Economic Development Corp., and Detroit Institute of Arts hosted a dinner and delegation event on Thursday, June 15 at the Troy Marriott. The evening featured wine, dinner, dessert, and a presentation by the major of Taizhou, China. Proceeds from the event benefit the DIA's new Asian exhibit.

Leaders for Kids 2017

Leaders for Kids, an advisory board that supports the charitable work of the Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation, hosted its fifth annual Summer Recess event on Friday, July 7 at the SkyDeck of the Detroit Opera House. The second installment of Detroit Secret Sessions was held on Tuesday, June 20 at the Jam Handy Film Studios in Detroit. The evening featured performances by pianist Ivan Moshchuk, a live art performance by Birgit Huttemann-Holz, and a wine and cheese reception.

DBusiness Breakfast Series July 2017

Mark Wallace, president and CEO of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, was the featured speaker at the DBusiness Breakfast Series on July 18 at the Gem Theatre in downtown Detroit. During his address, Wallace provided an update on plans to redevelop the West Riverfront from Joe Louis Arena to the Ambassador Bridge.

The Great Race 2017

More than 500 people attended a meet and greet for classic car enthusiasts at the Stahl Car Museum in Chesterfield Township on Friday, June 30. The event was part of The Great Race, a competitive, control-speed road rally for classic, vintage, and antique cars, which began in Jacksonville, Fla. and concluded in Traverse City.
