Detroit City Airport Clean Up 2017

On August, 5, the Friends of Detroit City Airport, a nonprofit organization, held its Airport Beautification Day. More than 250 volunteers gathered to clean up the grounds at the Coleman A. Young International Airport. Sponsors and representative companies and organizations included Arise Detroit, Davis Aerospace Technical High School, the Detroit Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Civil Air Patrol, Ford Motor Co., Detroit Aircraft Corp., and PVS Chemicals Inc.

Vista Maria 19th Annual Celebrating Women Event

More than 500 business leaders, philanthropists, and community supporters gathered on May 3 at The Henry in Dearborn for Vista Maria’s 19th annual Celebrating Women event. The evening included networking, a silent auction, dinner, a program, and an afterglow. Vista Maria was founded as an orphanage in 1883 by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. Today, it supports vulnerable youth and their families.

33rd Annual JDRF Promise Ball

JDRF held its annual Promise Ball on May 4 at the MGM Grand Detroit. The formal event included a cocktail reception, dinner, a live auction, entertainment, and an after party. Proceeds benefitted JDRF’s mission to support research to cure, treat, and prevent Type 1 diabetes and its complications.

Cauley Ferrari Grand Reopening Celebration

On May 11, more than 500 people attended the grand reopening of Cauley Ferrari in West Bloomfield Township. In addition to tours of the expanded space, which includes a new second floor offering a lounge called “Casa Ferrari,” a museum, and an outdoor deck, guests viewed renovated areas on the first floor such as a customer lounge, a design centre, a detail area, and vehicle displays.
