Detroit City Airport Clean Up 2017

On August, 5, the Friends of Detroit City Airport, a nonprofit organization, held its Airport Beautification Day. More than 250 volunteers gathered to clean up the grounds at the Coleman A. Young International Airport. Sponsors and representative companies and organizations included Arise Detroit, Davis Aerospace Technical High School, the Detroit Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Civil Air Patrol, Ford Motor Co., Detroit Aircraft Corp., and PVS Chemicals Inc.

Company Folders Moves to New Headquarters in Pontiac

More than 100 people attended the event, which included remarks by Matthew Gibb, deputy executive of Oakland County.

Kidney Ball 2017

The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan hosted its annual Kidney Ball on Dec. 2 at MotorCity Casino in Detroit. Nearly 600 guests enjoyed dinner, beverages, live and silent auctions, music, and dancing to raise more than $600,000 for those living with kidney disease.

CCS The Art of Wine Auction 2017

The College for Creative Studies hosted The 36th annual Detroit International Wine Auction on Oct. 21 at the Downtown Boxing Gym in Detroit. The black-tie event featured vintner Bodegas Torres, a silent auction and reception, a gala dinner and a live auction, and an after party. The evening raised $2.5 million for College for Creative Studies student scholarships and $1 million for the CCS Fashion Accessories Design Program.

Hob Nobble Gobble 2017

The Hob Nobble Gobble presented by Ford Motor Co. was hosted at Ford Field in Detroit on Nov. 17. Guests enjoyed carnival rides and games, live music, and a preview of floats for America's Thanksgiving Parade presented by Art Van.
