Children’s Hospital of Michigan Ribbon Cutting for New Tower in Midtown

The Children’s Hospital of Michigan held a grand opening on Oct. 31 for its new $155-million patient tower in Detroit’s Midtown. The celebration started with a Great Pumpkin Party for guests in costume before a ribbon cutting for the six-story, 248,800-square-foot tower took place. Luanne Thomas Ewald, CEO of the hospital, and the Anglebrandt family were spokespersons. Construction began on the tower in 2015.

On Saturday, Jan. 12, American Express and the North American International Auto Show hosted The Gallery at MGM Grand Detroit. The evening included a strolling dinner at Top Golf followed by a display of luxury vehicles, including three Ferraris, a Ford GT, a Lincoln Aviator, and the first SUV by Rolls-Royce, called the Cullinan.

MAIN Event at the Max M. Fisher Music Center

The 2019 MotorCity Automotive Industry Night (MAIN) Event opened the North American International Auto Show festivities on Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit. Hosted by Lawrence Technological University, the program recognized automotive industry executives and automotive-design work by students.

Salvation Army Holiday Sing-a-Long Fundraiser 2018

On Dec. 6., more than 100 people attended a luncheon at the London Chop House in downtown Detroit for the annual Salvation Army Sing-a-Long fundraiser. In addition to enjoying networking and a sit-down lunch, the money raised from the annual event supported the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle fundraising campaign.
