Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), a global adviser of staffing and workforce solutions, has named Cynthia J. Pasky, CEO of Detroit’s Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3), and April Donaldson, executive vice president and a shareholder of S3, among the 2018 Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list. This annual list honors women leaders and influencers who have excelled within the global talent marketplace.

“This year’s SIA Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list is comprised of some truly exemplary leaders in the global staffing and recruiting industry, and these leaders should be proud of their tremendous accomplishments,” says Art Papas, founder and CEO of Bullhorn, the list’s sponsor. “These amazing leaders serve as role models for everyone in the industry, and their leadership will encourage the next generation of innovative thinkers. While there is still more work to do to increase female leadership representation, these leaders and their stories represent progress. Bullhorn is incredibly proud to support the Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list.”

Pasky founded S3, an IT and business solutions corporation, in 1990. The firm is the 22nd-largest IT staffing firm in the U.S. in 2018. It has 25 U.S. locations and three offices in Europe, with consultants placed in 49 states and in 15 other countries. In addition, Pasky lends her expertise to many Detroit nonprofits and community organizations. She also serves as co-chair to the Mayor’s Workforce Development Board and chair of the Downtown Detroit Partnership.

“It’s a great honor to be named alongside all of these highly talented industry professionals,” says Pasky. “These executives represent a diverse cross section of talent and innovation, all of whom will certainly move our industry forward. Thank you to SIA for this honor.”

Donaldson leads the company’s managed service provider practice, its second-largest service offering, with an annual spend of nearly $140 million. She serves as executive point for many of S3’s largest global customers. She has more than 20 years of industry experience and has partnered with SIA in the development of its Certified Contingent Workforce Professional program. She also serves on the program’s advisory board as the only charter partner.

“It’s always special to be recognized among your peers, and particularly by Staffing Industry Analysts,” says Donaldson. “S3 is a long-time partner to SIA, and we value what the organization does to foster industry best practices. This honor is truly meaningful.”

The list, which is not a ranking, highlights women whose accomplishments and contributions have moved the industry forward and helped to shape, define, and influence the rapidly evolving staffing and workforce industry.
