Ninja Innovation 2017

The British American Business Council of Michigan hosted Ninja Innovation at the Birmingham Country Club on Nov. 2. Guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, dessert, and a presentation about international business innovation strategies by Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association.

The event, hosted by Platinum Motor Cars in Birmingham, was sponsored by Near Perfect Media in Bloomfield Hills and Howard and Howard in Royal Oak.

Karmanos Partners Night 2017

The Karmanos Cancer Institute hosted its 24th annual Partners Night on Oct. 28 at the M-1 Concourse in Pontiac. More than 300 guests enjoyed fine dining, thrill rides on the race track, live music, dancing, and an auction that raise nearly $500,000 for cancer research.

Fiesta Hispana Gala 2017

The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosted the 28th annual Fiesta Hispana Gala on Dec. 1 at the MGM Grand Detroit. The black-tie event featured guest speakers, an awards ceremony, dinner, and dancing.

2018 Michigan Economic Forecast at the DBusiness Breakfast Series

David Littmann, former chief economist at Comerica Bank in Detroit, provided his 2018 Michigan Economic Forecast at the DBusiness Breakfast Series on Dec. 5 at the Gem Theatre in downtown Detroit. Littmann, addressing more than 150 people, says the state economy will grow next year, inflation will be minimal, and more people will be working.
