Joseph Serra Added to McLaren Health Care Board of Directors

McLaren Health Care has appointed Joseph Serra to their board of directors. Serra, president of Serra Automotive in Grand Blanc, is various experienced in leadership roles throughout the automotive industry.

“Joe is a both pioneer and an innovator in the automotive industry and we are very pleased to welcome him to the McLaren board of directors,” says Phil Incarnati, president and CEO of McLaren Health Care. “Joe’s strong business sense and experience across the state of Michigan and nationwide will be extremely valuable to our organization as we continue to grow throughout the region.”

Serra began growing Serra Automotive after joining the industry in 1982. The company owns 37 facilities and 52 franchises throughout the country. Additionally, Serra has served on the Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce, Baker College, Orchards Children’s Services, Albion College, and the Detroit and Flint Auto Dealers Association.

“Though the healthcare industry continuously evolves at a dramatic pace, McLaren is an organization that anticipates change and maintains its relevance,” says Serra. “From its relationship with Karmanos Cancer Institute to its sponsorship of the Ally Challenge and its recent expansion into Indiana, McLaren is always thinking ahead. Serra earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and management from Albion College and was awarded the General Motors Dealer of the Year.
