Habitat for Humanity in Macomb County has chosen a new executive board of directors. Dr. Cleamon Moorer, Jr. will serve as chairman, Mike Meldrum will serve as treasurer, and Anne Harpe as secretary of the board.

“We are very excited to see Dr. Cleamon Moorer rise to the position of chairperson. Twenty-five years of serving local families has brought us to a very important place, one filled with promise and hope,” says Helen Hicks, president and CEO of the Macomb affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.

The board will begin serving in 2018 as Habitat for Humanity in Macomb County celebrates 25 years of service, and will focus on community impact and address overlooked populations of the homeless. “Our silver anniversary year will provide us to improve sustainability and growth while continuing our efforts to help more families obtain home ownership,” says Moorer.

Through the partnership of Baker College of Clinton Township, Moorer, dean of Bakers college of Business, plans to increase the group’s retail footprint by bringing them online with website design, fundraising appeals, media outreach, and program design.
