New Chief Medical Officer Appointed at Beaumont Hospital Dearborn

Interventional radiologist Paolo G. Marciano has been appointed as the new chief medical officer at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn.

In his new role, Marciano, of Grosse Pointe Farms, will collaborate with medical and hospital leadership, including Beaumont Hospital Dearborn’s Medical Executive Committee, hospital president, and elected chief of staff. He will be responsible for overall hospital performance, and developing the vision and strategic plan for clinical activities.

Currently, Marciano, who has been a member of the site’s medical staff since 2009, is the director of Interventional Radiology for all of the south region Beaumont hospitals, which are located in the Dearborn and western Wayne communities. He most recently served as the chairman of Beaumont Dearborn’s Professional Practice Evaluation Committee, and was a charter member of the interdisciplinary Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Program.

Marciano earned his bachelor’s, medical, and doctorate degrees at the University of Pennsylvania, and pursued studies at Wharton School of Business. He completed his training in diagnostic and interventional radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University.
