Brooks Kushman Appoints New Share Holder To Los Angeles Office

Brooks Kushman, an intellectual property and technology law firm based in Southfield, has hired David A. Randall as its new shareholder for its new Los Angeles office.

In his new role, Randall will be responsible for handling issues involving patents, trademarks, and trade secret disputes, and representing clients in the cellular technology, consumer products, medical devices, aerospace, and electronics industries. He will be working from the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Prior to joining Brooks Kushman, Randall was a partner with Sheppard Mullin’s, a general practice law firm in Los Angeles. He focused on intellectual property litigation and portfolio management, and counseled clients on post-grant proceeding matters with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Randall, of Manhattan Beach, Calif., is admitted to practice in California; the U.S. District Courts in the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California; the U.S. Districts Court for the Northern District of Florida; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Randall earned a Bachelor of Science in metallurgical engineering from the University of Arizona and a Juris Doctor from Arizona State University.
