Palace Sports & Entertainment Names New Senior VP


Elmer Straub

Elmer Straub has joined Palace Sports & Entertainment LLC in a newly created position of senior vice president of venue management.

Straub will be responsible for spearheading collaboration between PS&E’s booking and entertainment team which includes: booking, negotiations and strategic partnerships; and the organization’s creative and communications and revenue teams which include: corporate partnership sales and development, premium sales and service, and consumer sales. He will serve as a key member of the senior management team, contribute broadly to developing organizational strategy and provide input and counsel in all areas of the entertainment business.

Straub will supervise the event coordination team, oversee the execution of all promoter agreements and will work across PS&E’s creative and communications, revenue and operations teams to develop and deliver venue management on behalf of entertainment promoters and their representative acts.

Previously, Straub worked at Tampa Bay Sports and Entertainment LLC, where he served as vice president of event booking for Amalie Arena.  Before that, he worked at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.

Straub earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Aquinas College and his master's in sport's administration from Central Michigan University.
