Macomb Names New Assistant County Executive

Kathy M. Bartz has been named to serve as Macomb’s new assistant county executive.

Bartz, has for nearly 10 years acted as vice president of sales, marketing and communications at Presbyterian Villages of Michigan. She was responsible for managing the sales, marketing, occupancy and revenue development in 26 communities and collaborative properties with revenues of $68.5 million.

Bartz will be taking the place of former Assistant Macomb County Executive John Paul Rea, who was recently named executive director of Macomb County’s planning and economic development department.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Wayne State University.
