Great Expressions Dental Centers Executives Earn Business Awards

Two executives from Bloomfield Hills-based Great Expressions Dental Centers have been honored with Stevie Women in Business Awards for their leadership in the industry.

Dr. Sindy  Goodman, national orthodontic director, won a Silver Stevie Award in the category of Mentor or Coach of the Year and Pamela Holder, vice president of insurance and accounts receivable, won a Bronze Stevie Award in the category of Female Executive of the Year.

Goodman oversees operations and clinical supervision of all orthodontic offices in four major markets, including 42 orthodontic offices. She serves as a mentor and advisor to all of the company’s orthodontists and involved in offering guidance outside of the organization.

Goodman, of West Bloomfield, is a board certified orthodontist and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Goodman has received multiple awards, including Top Dentist from Hour Detroit  2010-2012 and Mom-Approved Doc from Metro Parent in 2011 and 2012.

She  earned her Bachelor of Science  as well as her doctor of dental surgery at the University of Michigan and her master’s in orthodontics from St. Louis University.

Holder manages nearly 100 employees, overseeing the revenue cycle Holder joined Great Expressions Dental Centers in 2009 as an insurance clerk.

Holder, of Lake Orion, has been a member of a national organization interested in utilizing electronic data in the dental world, and was involved in a group to develop and improve the electronic verification of patient benefits. Prior to joining Great Expressions Dental Centers, she directed a children’s choir, lead an urban youth group, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in political science with an emphasis on foreign policy in the Middle East.
