AUBURN HILLS — Continental, an international automotive supplier, has donated $10,000 to the Auburn Hills Firefighters’ Helping Hands organization. The money donated will go toward helping needy families this holiday season.

“We are fortunate to have such generous corporations in Auburn Hills that are willing to give back to the community,” said Mayor Kevin McDaniel. “Helping Hands provides food, Christmas gifts, and assistance with energy bills to families who struggle to make it through the holidays and the cold winter. All of this work would not be possible without great supporters like Continental.”

Helping Hands offers assistance year-round for the local community through scholarships, heating funds for seniors, and immediate aid to families devastated and displaced by fire. The organization also provides additional support to families who face financial hardship during this time of year.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that Continental has contributed to the charity. Continental supports a number of charitable organizations throughout the year within the communities it operates.
