Volunteer Opportunities 
in Southwest State Parks

The Department of Natural Resources recently announced a schedule of volunteer stewardship activities at state parks and recreation areas in Southwest Michigan, presenting plenty of opportunities to get outdoors and help protect habitats. No experience is necessary, and training and equipment are provided.

Dates, times and locations of group workdays are as follows:

Nov. 3 – Fort Custer Recreation Area, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Nov. 4 – Saugatuck Dunes State Park, 1 to 4 p.m.
Nov. 10 – Saugatuck Dunes State Park, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Nov. 11 – Yankee Springs Recreation Area, 1 to 4 p.m.
Nov. 17 – Muskegon State Park, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
