EAST LANSING, Mich., November 20, 2009 – GiftZip.com, the virtual kiosk of eGift cards, launched an updated version of the website last week in response to customer feedback. The new launch offers user-friendly features, such as a word fill search and value-added shopping content, taking the convenience and usability of the eGift card portal to the next level in time for the estimated $25 billion holiday gift card market.

Among the new features, users are able to click on a retailer’s logo for a brief description of the products and services they offer, locations where the gift card is redeemable, and the denominations available. The newly added content will provide users with the necessary information to make shopping comparisons and decisions without leaving the GiftZip.com portal.

Chief Operating Officer John Gwillim says the features were in direct response to GiftZip.com users. “We develop and deliver what our customer base tells us they want,” Gwillim notes, “we will continue to innovate in order to improve the user experience.”

Since launching the beta version of the website in June, GiftZip.com has secured agreements with over 150 retailers to market their eGift cards. The site’s usership has grown 1300% and is nearing the 10,000 users per month mark. Geographically, the original 80% Michigan usership now comprises only 10% of the GiftZip.com customer base, illustrating the increasing reach of the site to a national audience.

GiftZip.com is in the business of connecting consumers to hundreds of retailers that offer eGift cards, promoting greener gift giving while eliminating the use of harmful plastics. GiftZip.com strives to save consumers time and money without sacrificing any of the shopping experience.
