Jessica DeBone, economic incentives consultant and regional manager at PM Environmental in Berkley has won the Developing Leaders PRISM Award from EDR, a company that provides data and technology to property due diligence professionals.

The award honors an up-and-coming due diligence professional who has demonstrated significant achievement in areas of leadership, visibility, professional competency, or industry involvement in the early stage of his or her career.

“Jessica is the definition of young leadership, and is someone with incredible drive and passion to solve complex environmental issues using all of the available economic incentive tools, from brownfields to tax abatements,” says Mike Kulka, CEO and co-founder of PM Environmental.  “I have worked closely with her on dozens of truly transformational redevelopments and have never heard a client give her anything but praise.”

Award winners were announced on May 9 at the PRISM Awards Dinner held at the Omni Scottsdale Resort at Montelucia in Scottsdale, Ariz.

DeBone joined the Economic Incentives Department in 2012. She specializes in private-sector incentives, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency brownfield assessment, revolving loan fund, and cleanup grants. DeBone has secured more than $15 million in brownfield and economic incentives for private sector clients and $6 million in EPA assessment and cleanup grants.

“I am honored to receive this PRISM award in such a competitive category, as well as the recognition from established leaders in the industry,” says DeBone.  “I am grateful for the opportunity to have been nominated, and for the mentorship I have received that has allowed (me) to become a developing leader.”
