DBusiness Breakfast Series: Champions of the New Economy 2018

The 2018 Champions of the New Economy, which recognizes technology leaders in metro Detroit, were honored on May 8 at the DBusiness Breakfast Series at the Gem Theatre in Detroit. This year’s honorees are Linglong He, CIO of Quicken Loans Inc.; Mark Hillman, co-founder of MadDog Technology; Dan Irvin, CEO of 123Net; Jason Vazzano, co-CEO of Vectorform; and Phil Abraham, chairman of CloudFace.

DBusiness Breakfast Series: Bankruptcy

DBusiness hosted an installment of its 2018 Breakfast Series on Wednesday, July 18 at the Gem Theatre in downtown Detroit. Guests enjoyed a strolling breakfast and a panel discussion titled Detroit’s Bankruptcy: Five Years Later, which examined the bankruptcy proceeding, recovery process, and how the city can accelerate future job creation and economic development.

DBusiness Breakfast Series: Automotive

The February 8th DBusiness Breakfast Series featured keynote speaker George Lenyo, office managing partner of EY Detroit. This month’s topic was Automotive, a discussion on the changing workforce: moving from the gig economy to the machine economy. Lenyo provided a view of the workplace changes that leaders need to start understanding and embracing including The Gig Economy, Automation and Diversity.

DBusiness Breakfast Series: 30 in Their Thirties 2017

The DBusiness Breakfast Series presented by Plante Moran was held at the Gem Theatre in Detroit on October 10 celebrating the 30 in Their Thirties class of 2017. Guests enjoyed a strolling breakfast, networking, and presentation from Tony Michaels, President and CEO of The Parade Company, on the business of planning America’s Thanksgiving Day parade.
