Attorney Joins Dickinson Wright’s Troy Office

Dickinson Wright has announced that attorney Howard J. Gourwitz has joined the firm’s Troy office.

“I have been working as co-counsel with Dickinson Wright for over 20 years and I’m thrilled to be now joining their team in the Troy office,” says Gourwitz. “Dickinson Wright offers an ideal blend of the highest quality legal acumen with superior client service. Gourwitz specializes in personal and business planning, tax law, estate and financial planning, real estate, and sports and entertainment law. He has been a practice consultant for Midwest Transaction Guide, a 14-volume set of books published by Matthew Bender & Company, Inc., since 1980.  He has also participated as a speaker in many Institute of Continuing Legal Education seminars and lectured on Conducting Effective Negotiations. Gourwitz is AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been a registered agent with the National Hockey League Players’ Association and a member of the Sports Lawyers Association since 1986.

Gourwitz is a member of the Board of Governors at Cranbrook Schools and serves as the Chair of the Development Committee for Cranbrook Schools. Gourwitz received his B.A. from the University of Michigan along with his J.D. Cum Laude from Wayne State University and his L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University.
