Farmington Hills-based City Club Apartments (CCA), a North American luxury apartment manager, today announced the addition of two company executives: Dale Phillips, former president of award-winning property manager and developer for Mark Taylor Residential, as president and COO, and Don Gillette, former corporate vice president of global human resources in Las Vegas for MGM Resorts International, as senior vice president of people and culture.

Phillips, who has more than 23 years of multifamily real estate and hospitality industry experience, will be tasked with developing City Club Management’s team, processes and infrastructure for all company operations.

In May, CCA took over management of apartment communities from Village Green Cos. in Ann Arbor, St. Louis, Kansas City, Louisville and Cincinnati. As part of his new position, Phillips will also oversee the transition of apartments and penthouses to CCA management.

Gillette, who has experience in human resources strategic planning, will lead CCA into this new phase, and will have a heavy hand in talent recruiting and hiring. Prior to his time at MGM, the University of Las Vegas alumni spent 15 years at the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where he developed change initiatives and learning programs.

“As we scale this international brand, we remain committed to hiring the very best talent in North America to serve our customers,” says Jonathan Holtzman, co-chairman and CEO for CCA. “We started the year with 25 people and plan to have more than 275 by the end of the year. Don’s talent procurement and leadership experience with MGM and Four Seasons will be instrumental in helping us hire, grow, and retain the very best, service-minded talent.”
