Rachel Ruskin has joined West Bloomfield-based Jewish Senior Life of Metropolitan Detroit as administrator for the Fleischman Residence/Blumberg Plaza, an assisted living community in Oak Park.
Ruskin will oversee operations of the assisted living community including caring for residents, managing schedules, guiding programs, and dining. Previously, Ruskin, a West Bloomfield resident, served as director of the Annual Jewish Book Fair and Film Festival for the Jewish Community Center of Metro Detroit. She was also previously an associate director of Tamarack Camps.
Ruskin earned a Bachelor of Arts from James Madison College at Michigan State University, majoring in social relations and has completed a year course at the University of Judaism in Jerusalem, Israel.
