Cranbrook Names Visiting Artist-in-Residence

1344

Susan Goethel Campbell has been named the visiting artist-in-residence of the print media department at Cranbrook Academy of Art, a school with graduate-only programs in architecture, design, and fine art.

Campbell will serve a one-year term, acting as the department head for the 2016-17 academic year.

Campbell creates multi-disciplinary work that considers the contemporary landscape to be an emergent system where nature, culture, and the engineered environment are indistinguishable from one another. She works in several formats, including installation, video, prints and drawings, and projects.

Campbell is represented by the David Klein Gallery, Detroit, and Galerie Tom Blaess in Bern, Switzerland, where she will have upcoming exhibitions later this year and in 2017.

Campbell earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alma College and her Master of Fine Arts in print media from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
