DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute are teaming up for the fourth annual Pink Out the Park at the Detroit Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals game on Sept. 18 at Comerica Park. The event raises awareness of breast health and helps raise funds for breast cancer research at the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

“The Detroit Tigers partnership with Karmanos Cancer Institute to present Pink Out the Park is a victory for our community,” says Duane McLean, executive vice president, Business Operations, Detroit Tigers.  “We appreciate the continued support from Tigers fans, especially for this important initiative, and we are committed to demonstrating the organization’s support.”

Delta Airlines will be providing a free Pink Infinity Scarf to the first 10,000 women in attendance. FOX Sports Detroit will again provide Cheer Cards for all fans to write the name of a loved one battling breast cancer or honor the memory of someone lost to the disease. Special messages of support can also be tweeted at #pinkout. Special sales promotions will benefit breast cancer research underway at Karmanos, as will the proceeds from two 50/50 raffles at Comerica Park – one held Sept. 18, and the other on Sept. 19.

Detroit Tigers fans have several ticket package options to choose from and each include a Pink Out the Park limited edition t-shirt and a donation to breast cancer research at the Karmanos Cancer Institute. Ticket packages are limited and include seats in the following sections: Lower Baseline Box, Upper Box Infield, Pavilion, Mezzanine and Upper Reserved.
