Suburban Collection Acquires Cadillac Dealerships in Plymouth, Lansing

tThe Suburban Collection recently expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Don Massey Cadillac in Plymouth and Capitol Cadillac in Lansing. The latter marks the group’s first entry into the Lansing marketplace.

Fischer, chairman and CEO of the Troy-based Suburban Collection, Michigan’s largest privately held automotive dealership group. “These acquisitions are in line with our company’s strategy of continued, managed growth and geographic expansion. We couldn’t be more pleased.”

tThe 73,000-square-foot Don Massey Cadillac, was founded in Plymouth in 1966 and today employs 90 people. At 56,000 square feet,  Capitol Cadillac of Lansing employs 45. Together, they bring the Suburban Collection’s total employee count to nearly 2,000 professionals.

tBoth dealerships were purchased from Charlotte, N.C.-based Sonic Automotive. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
