Winning Futures’ President and CEO Kristina Marshall has been elected chapter president of Southfield-based Entrepreneurs’ Organization Detroit. She is the chapter’s first woman president.

Marshall will serve a one-year term and is responsible for leading a 12-member board and ensuring the success and sustainability of EO Detroit. The Detroit chapter now has 129 members, generates more than $1.4 billion in sales and employs more than 7,500 employees.

Graduating from EO’s Accelerator Program in 2009 and having served on the EO board since 2012, Marshall leads the Warren-based Winning Futures, a nonprofit organization that empowers youth to succeed through mentoring and strategic planning.

A graduate from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and marketing and earning a Masters in Arts in Education, Marshall is the first graduate of EO Accelerator in the world to become a chapter president. Marshall is also the immediate past chair of Mentor Michigan, the state’s mentoring support agency.

Established in 1987 as a catalyst for entrepreneurs to learn and grow from each other, EO is a global network of more than 8,500 business owners in 40 countries. Together, these entrepreneurs account for $160 billion in sales and oversee 1.7 million employees.
