Alden Towers Grand Opening Celebration

On June 13, Alden Towers along Jefferson Avenue in Detroit held a grand opening celebration to commemorate a major renovation. The tower, built in 1923 by real estate developer C.C. Williams, is owned by Triton Investment Co. Photographs by Maurice Davis.

Roadkill Nights, presented by Dodge, was held on Aug. 19 at M1 Concourse in Pontiac. The event featured high-powered drag racing on Woodward Avenue for cash prizes, Dodge thrill rides and displays, live music, food trucks, and giveaways.

Rub-a-Dub 2016

ORT Michigan, a nonprofit Jewish organization that promotes education and training in communities worldwide, held its annual Rub-a-Dub fundraiser on Aug. 17 at the Franklin Hills Country Club in Farmington Hills. This year's event featured a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and a live auction.
