The Parade Company’s Distinguished Clown Corps held its Distinguished Grand Jester’s Reception on Sept. 23 at The Reserve at Big Rock Chophouse in Birmingham. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

PNC and the Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield HIlls held an opening night reception on Sept. 13 for National Geographic's "Women of Vision" exhibition. The show, which runs through Dec. 30, features nearly 100 photographs from 11 award-winning female journalists.
During the week of Sept. 8, employees from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services teamed up with Beyond Basics to help students work on an art project at Thirkell Elementary School in Detroit. Following the theme of "Greatness," the project was displayed at the finance company's headquarters in Farmington Hills in October.
Henry Ford Health System held its largest annual fundraiser, Get Your Heart Racing, on Sept. 12 at Shed 3 in Eastern Market, followed by a day at Ford's test track in Dearborn on Sept. 13. The two events, along with the auction of the final production unit of the 50 Year Limited Edition Ford Mustang at Barrett-Jackson, raised nearly $600,000.
